Grinding Ingredients

Standard

A few days ago, my mom was grinding some ingredients to eat with the fish that she cooked. My nephew saw her doing so and wanted to grind stuff as well. At first, he just watched her while doing a dance. It was that “Let me do it” kind of dance. This wasn’t in any of the clips above. I had a different clip of it, but my mom said something on it that probably shouldn’t be heard. It’s nothing bad, but some people might think of it as a bad thing. I didn’t want to remove the audio, so I chose not to post the clip. Anyways, after his dance, he went to grab a small grinding bowl. He slid it next to my mom’s grinding bowl because he wanted her to put some of her ingredients into his grinding bowl. She didn’t, of course. She just laughed as she ground her ingredients. I gave him a pestle and he simulated grinding ingredients in his grinding bowl. Again, he slid his grinding bowl close to my mom’s grinding bowl because he wanted her to put some of her ingredients into his grinding bowl. Of course, she didn’t give him any ingredients. She had something spicy and was afraid it would fly into his eyes. Since he was on the verge of crying, I found some peanuts and put them in his grinding bowl. He ground them up into a nice powder and wanted more peanuts to grind. It was so cute to see him grinding ingredients with my mom.

Ocean Beach

Standard

Recorded on October 1, 2011 with Casio Exilim EX-Z80.

This was when I went to a View Point and Ocean Beach in San Diego, CA. I actually did record a lot of clips when we went to Ocean Beach. The majority of the clips were of my party walking on the pier though. It was a long pier. I had to amuse myself somehow. Of course, I recorded the surfers. The beach experience wouldn’t be complete without them. I found it to be cool when they wiped out. That’s probably not a good thing for them though, especially if they are getting swelled up in the waves. However, seeing it from above was one of those “Ooh… Aww…” moments. The view on the pier was the best for seeing the waves of the ocean.

Spanish Art Village

Recorded on October 1, 2011 with Motorola Bravo.

This was when I went to the Spanish Art Village as part of my San Diego trip. I don’t think I really mentioned this place in my other San Diego trip related posts. I probably forgot about it until I looked through my videos and clips. I know I posted one photo in my other entries. Before we walked into the area, there was a man doing caricatures. I would’ve liked to get one done. The problem is that I can’t sit still for long. My body would start to ache. We didn’t get to see much there because we only walked through the area. I wish we could’ve visited the booths. I would’ve liked to see the art activities that were going on while we were there. One of the activities was those clay imprints in which you imprint your hand and write your name. I saw people walking around with it. There was a booth in which people were doing that. I think that would’ve been fun to do, although I wouldn’t have any place to store the piece. I was an art student and so was my sister’s best friend. She also happens to be artistic. I thought she may have been interested in all the art stuff. We pretty much just took pictures, walked through, and left.

Botanical Building

Recorded on October 1, 2011 with Motorola Bravo.

This video was from when I went to the Botanical Building at Balboa Park. I’m posting this almost a year later. In October it will be exactly one year. I didn’t record much, but I did take a lot of photos. I don’t think I posted any of them here on Blogger. Usually, I’m the one who records/photographs things. My siblings don’t really do so. I had to use my phone and the camera/video quality on it isn’t that great. My brother had the digital camera. He took photos, but he didn’t record any videos.

Japanese Friendship Garden

This video was from when I went to the Japanese Friendship Garden at Balboa Park. I’m really late in posting this video. It’s almost a year since I’ve posted the entry. I haven’t had time to edit the clips. I also didn’t take as many clips as I thought I would. I think I took more photos. I decided to just use one of the longer clips I recorded of the place. Looking back on it, I wish I would’ve recorded more.

San Francisco Bonfire

Standard

Recorded on October 7-8, 2011 with Casio Exilim EX-Z80.

I don’t go to San Francisco often, especially not at night. I went for a bonfire with some family and friends. This was the first bonfire that I ever went to. I think we left the house around 11 p.m. We were supposed to leave earlier than that, but some of the people in our party were not ready. My siblings and I waited for them. We waited so long that my sister didn’t want to go anymore. We still went, of course. I was actually getting sleepy waiting. It was a fairly windy night, but it wasn’t cold. I think we were only there for an hour, close to two hours. We had to leave because the police were checking on people. We weren’t the only ones there. There were other people too. I think there was a specific time in which people weren’t allowed to do bonfires. I think everyone there had their bonfire after the allowed time. Maybe one day, I’d be able to go to another one. It would’ve been nice to be able to see the ocean. At most, I was able to smell the saltiness.

Photographed on October 7-8, 2011 with Casio Exilim EX-Z80.

Baby Talk

Standard

This is just too cute! His little baby talk is fascinating! Why? It’s because I have no idea what he’s saying. Baby talk is cute only when a baby does it. When adults try to do baby talk, it just sounds dumb. It’s because they can’t do so correctly. Babies know what they’re doing. The cute thing about this video besides the baby and his little baby talk is that he’s somewhat drooling. He’s trying to communicate with me and apparently I’m not getting it. Maybe he was hungry. I don’t really know. I think we already fed him at the time or a little earlier than that. He then gives up and turns to his mom. In a way, it’s like this video clip is his vlog (video log) about something. Only other babies will understand him. With the way his facial expression is, it’s like he’s warning us about something or telling us to get help. He’s just too cute in here! Every time I look at this clip, I want to give him a hug!
