The White Queen

Standard

I watched the first episode of The White Queen tonight. It aired for free on the Audience channel during the last week of August. I recorded it on my DVR. I just happened to be able to watch it tonight. Tonight, there was also a marathon. Since I don’t have Starz, I’m not able to watch this series. From the first episode, I like the show. I looked up some information and found that it has ten episodes and was meant to only have one season. That’s too bad. From what I’ve read, the number of viewers declined eventually during the progression of the show. As such, I don’t know if people were upset or not because it only had one season. I’m sure fans of the show were upset. I hope I’ll be able to watch the rest of the series somehow. I like period pieces, so a show like this is something I’m drawn to.

JiNi – "(I Am Free) In The Night" Remix

Standard

A few days ago, JiNi posted a link for the remix of her song “(I Am Free) In The Night.” The remix was done by Derocc (her producer). I like the remix, but I like the original version better. The original version sounds haunting and mysterious, which fits with the darkness of the song. That’s why I like it. The remix version sounds fun and light, so it takes away the dark feel of the song and lyrics.

Perfume – Level 3 Album

Standard

I was on Google+ and saw a teaser video for Perfume’s new album, Level 3. I went to their official YouTube to look at the other videos as well. The album will be released on October 2, 2013. I’m pretty sure my brother already knows about this since he’s a big Perfume fan. He hasn’t mentioned it to me yet though. Well, he’ll definitely get the album and I’ll definitely get to hear it.

Steven Yeun Interviews

Standard

I read some interviews that Steven Yeun did. One was with Access Hollywood and the other one was with IGN. He was asked about season 3 and season 4. Season 4 of The Walking Dead returns on October 13th. I’m looking forward to season 4! I wonder what will happen and I wonder if Steven’s character, Glenn, will survive in the fourth season. Since Steven pretty much couldn’t reveal anything about season 4, I (along with other fans) will just have to wait until the show returns!

Backstreet Boys – MDA Telethon 9/1/13

Standard

Backstreet Boys were part of the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Show of Strength Telethon. The show will air on September 1st at 9 P.M. on ABC.

For more information on the MDA, visit their website at MDA Show of Strength Telethon.

I’m glad that Backstreet Boys was a part of the show. It’s for a good cause. This also makes me think of their “Show ‘Em (What You’re Made Of)” song. It fits perfectly for the people with the muscle conditions. Although they have that condition, they can still accomplish things. That is inspirational. I just wish I had money to donate! I’m looking forward to seeing the guys on the show. I wonder what song(s) they sang. I’ll have to watch it to find out. I just hope I remember to watch it!

The Grandmaster

Standard

I saw a sticker for The Grandmaster on Get Glue the other day. I think I saw the trailer on TV. I don’t remember. I only want to see the movie because of Tony Leung and Ziyi Zhang. It’s been a long time since I saw Tony Leung in a martial arts film. It’s also been a long time since I’ve seen Ziyi Zhang in any films. It was like she dropped off the planet after Memoirs of a Geisha. I’m glad to know that she’s still doing movies.

The Grandmaster is about Ip Man (the martial artist who trained Bruce Lee). There were already movies called Ip Man and Ip Man 2, which were about Ip Man and both starred Donnie Yen, so I wonder how Tony Leung will compare. I like both actors and both are good at martial arts, although I feel that Donnie Yen is the better martial artist. I feel that way because every Donnie Yen movie I’ve seen has him doing a lot of martial arts whereas most of the Tony Leung movies I’ve seen are more of the romance variety.

I hope I’ll be able to see this movie. I’m looking forward to it!

Sistar – Concert "S"

Standard

Sistar is going to have a second concert. The concert will be called Concert “S” and will be on October 12, 2013 at Olympic Hall in Seoul, Korea. Ticket sales began on August 23rd. I know, I’m late writing this. I found out about the concert about a week or so ago. I saw the tweets from other fans. I didn’t blog about it until now.

For more information, visit Sistar Live Concert S.

For those who are going to the concert, have a good time!
