Anime Fever

Standard

Site: animefever.net

An online friend of mine created a site called Anime Fever a few years ago. I believe the site was originally created in 2005, but he didn’t really do much to it at the time. A year or so later, he asked me if I wanted to be the Administer on the site to help get it rolling. Some years later, we had another person join the Administrative staff. There was another site with the same name except a different extension. The other site was a .org extension. I just wanted to clear that up because people always confused those two sites. However, the name/link of that other site has been changed to animeboy.org, so I guess there won’t be anymore confusion.

Anyway, my friend’s Anime Fever site was a small forum community site for people who like Anime and Manga. It was a rather quiet site though and had been on a hiatus for some years. I think we failed to bring in members because it was just a discussion site. I know most people hoped to watch free Anime and read free Manga. However, that couldn’t be offered on the site as we didn’t want any legal issues.

Although we were a relatively unknown site, it was possible to still attract trouble. We had a photo gallery and some puzzle games. We had Anime information that included the titles, summaries, characters’ photos, and characters’ description. We also planned on writing reviews. As the years went by, the owner, my online friend, didn’t have the time to manage the site anymore due to school. That was why the site was on hiatus. I’ve visited various sites that are forum based and always see people who are interested in Anime. However, I couldn’t even bring them to visit the site. It’s always hard to maintain a site because users are what make a site successful. We did have about 30-50 visitors a day, but that wasn’t enough. We’ve had a few active forum posters, but sometimes they drifted away.

I just wanted to mention this site. If any of you like Anime and Manga, maybe you can join the site and help make it more lively. We’d love to hear your ideas!

7Up Pomegranate [Product Review]

Standard

I bought a box of 7UP Pomegranate a few weeks ago. I like it. Sometimes I can’t really taste the pomegranate. Other times I can taste it. I don’t know why. Maybe the taste kind of goes away when I drink so much of it. Oh well. I bought it to try it out, of course. It was a limited edition, or so the box said. It wasn’t that crisp and carbonated like the original. At least, not to me. Well, it was caffeine free and had low sodium, so that could be why. I generally like stuff with pomegranate in it and I have been drinking pomegranate flavored beverages. However, I haven’t eaten the actual pomegranate fruit. Is it even edible? I just remember sucking the juice out of it. I think they were just seeds right? I don’t remember. It’s been so long. Anyway, since pomegranate has antioxidants, I’ve been buying beverages that are pomegranate flavored. I hope they keep this flavor for 7UP. I don’t want it to just be a limited edition item only. It tastes good! Well, I don’t really know what else to say about it besides I like the flavor.

GermX Atomic Apple Germ Blaster [Product Review]

Standard

I bought GermX Atomic Apple Germ Blaster to try it out. Of course, since it’s a hand sanitizer, I wouldn’t actually know if it really works. I don’t have a microscope to check. I only used it once though. I brought it to work. I had another hand sanitizer that I was using at work. When that one ran out, I used my Germ Blaster and that’s how I used it once. I like the smell and the liquid wasn’t a watery mess. It didn’t dry out my hands either. At least, it didn’t feel like it did. This week I’m out of the office, so I won’t get to use it until I get back. I’m recovery from being sick. Anyways, one reason why I decided to use GermX Atomic Apple Germ Blaster was because the bottle cover was cute. It reminded me of Monster’s Inc. I loved that movie.

Market Pantry Chewy Granola Bar [Product Review]

Standard

I just love Market Pantry’s Chewy Granola Bar! It’s chewy. It’s sweet and salty. It has almonds. It’s dipped in almond butter coating. It tastes so good! I bought it for the first time a couple of months ago to try it out. Now every time I buy it, I buy more than one box. My siblings like it too. It’s good to snack on when you don’t have any other snacks. However, don’t eat this if you’re allergic to the ingredients or can’t handle sweets. It’s not too sweet and not too salty. It’s a good blend of both. I tend to eat one after a meal. It’s like a little dessert. Well, I felt like blogging about this just because I just finished eating one.

Mtn Dew White Out [Product Review]

Standard

I tried the White Out flavor from Mtn Dew. My sister gave it to me because she said she didn’t like it. I guess it’s a new flavor. There are two other flavors too and there’s voting going on as to which one should be the new Dew.

Well, White Out tastes all right to me. It doesn’t have that zing as the original flavor, but it’s still drinkable. However, I am sick at the moment, so my taste buds possibly don’t comply right now. It does say “smooth citrus” on the label and it does taste smooth. It doesn’t taste all bubbly like how light colored sodas usually taste. Maybe it has less carbonation? I didn’t taste any. That’s good though. I don’t like sodas that have too much carbonation. I feel like there’s nothing to drink with those kinds of soda. The feel of the carbonated soda going down my throat also hurts. Anyways, White Out is the kind of soda I’d be able to drink without gagging. I usually gag from carbonation. I haven’t tried the other two flavors yet, but this flavor would get my vote. Besides, it looks white. How often do you come across white soda? You see a lot of clear soda, but this one is white!

Earth Day

Standard

Yesterday was Earth Day. I didn’t get to blog about it yesterday because I was sick and didn’t feel like blogging. I hope everyone had a good Earth Day. Hopefully, we could all do something that is environmentally friendly. That means we have to sacrifice some of our daily routines or habits. Hey, a little bit goes a long way, you know? There are some good tips out there to help save our planet, but not everyone follows those tips. I guess old habits really do die hard, if they even die at all. Pretty much the “Go green” idea is what will help Earth. Well, it’s a start. I doubt everyone in the whole world would be able to “Go green” even if they tried. Of course this is where the three Rs come into play. You know, recycle, reuse, and reduce. That’ll be very helpful. Sometimes I think that the United States is the only country that has problems like this. Of course, since that’s where I live, that’s all I know of. I do read about other countries, but other countries seem to be doing much better than we are somehow. It’s not easy to manage a country, especially when there are a lot of different perspectives on ways of life. Maybe one day, everyone will have a universal perspective about taking care of planet Earth.

Need new ideas

Standard

Gosh, I need some new ideas for my blog. I’m not really getting anywhere with this one. I was thinking of doing movie and music reviews, but I don’t watch a lot of movies and I don’t listen to a lot of music. I thought about posting my poems and stories, but I haven’t worked on much lately. I don’t know what I should do. I need some ideas for my blog. It’s too bad that I’m not a gamer either. I could do game reviews. I’ll figure it out.
