I Don’t Know Why I Love You

*This was composed on May 10, 2003.*

I don’t know why I love you
It’s just something that I do
At first I thought this was a crush
When people mention you, I start to blush
I don’t know why I love you
But I know my feelings are true
I can’t help but feel this way
I think about you every day
I don’t know why I love you
I’m not sure what I’ve gotten myself into
But I hope love doesn’t disappoint me
Because you’re all I want to see
I don’t know why I love you
Maybe I should think this through
Maybe one day I’ll know the answer why
But when I tell you, I hope I’m not too shy
I don’t know why I love you
But I always have and I always will
Even if you’re with someone else
You’ll be in my heart still

Sistar Google+ Hangout

Standard

Yesterday, Sistar had a Google+ Hangout. I got to see it live, so that was pretty cool. The video below is of the Hangout that occurred. I was anxiously waiting for it since it was to be live at 5:30. When the time came, it wasn’t up yet. It was up and live a few minutes later. I remembered thinking, “Where are they?” :) There were people who said that the translator was awkward. I think so too. I’m not sure if it was because he didn’t really know how to translate or hasn’t translated before. Despite his awkwardness, I give him props because translating isn’t always easy to do. I struggle with it. I’m glad he was there though because I wouldn’t have known what the girls said if it weren’t for him. However, the last part wasn’t translated though. I suppose I’ll have to wait until someone subs the video in English. I liked that Sistar wasn’t awkward. It was enjoyable watching them. They seemed really down to earth. Most celebrities (no matter which country they are from) appear arrogant in interviews. These girls were actually funny and playful. I wished there were more questions that were answered, but surely, the girls were busy. They do have to perform today at the MBC Korean Music Wave, so I’m sure they had to practice. I appreciate that they took the time to do a Hangout so that their worldwide fans could see them. Much love to Sistar! I can’t wait to see you girls perform tonight!

MBC Korean Music Wave in Google

Standard

This event will take place on May 21 in Mountain View, CA at the Shoreline Amphitheatre at 7 p.m. The Powerhouse site was giving away tickets (5,000 to be exact). However, it crashed pretty much at the moment tickets were available. As such, I wasn’t able to request tickets. I guess there were people who just kept trying and trying until the site was up and running again. There aren’t anymore tickets available. The line up of performances includes TVXQ, Super Junior, Wonder Girls, Girls’ Generation, KARA, B2ST, MBLAQ, Sistar, and f(x). Of this group of performers, I only really listen to Sistar. It would’ve been nice to go and see them. Maybe I’ll have better luck next time. I don’t know when they’ll come to the United States again though. I think they came to L.A. before, but I didn’t know about it then. I found out about this event from my sister sometime last week, although she didn’t give any further details. All she said was, “There’s going to be a Korean Music festival in the Bay Area.” My brother was the one who actually told me about the Powerhouse site and he found that out from his friend. I wonder if his friend was able to request tickets. I know she tried doing so when the site crashed, but I don’t know if she kept trying to or not. The only thing that bugged me about this event is that it’s going to be on a Monday. It’d be better if it was on the weekend. Monday doesn’t seem like a concert day at all. :)

First grader suspended due to a song

Standard

I read an article that said a first grader was suspended because he sang the song “I’m Sexy and I Know It” by LMFAO. I don’t know why this kid chose to sing this song. He sang the song to a girl, a few girls actually, but he got in trouble for the latest one. Apparently, he shook his booty near her face. He received three days suspension due to sexual harassment. Of course, his mother felt it was unjustified because he didn’t feel that he sexually harassed the girl. The thing with sexual harassment is that you don’t have to actually touch someone. It can be something that you’ve said. The fact that he said to her, “I’m sexy and I know it” and shook his booty near her face, makes it sexual harassment. Kids shouldn’t sing songs they don’t know about. I guess it’s a good thing he didn’t sing the song “Lollipop” by Lil Wayne.
