I don’t get why people put their cellphones on vibrate when they’re at home. What if someone was trying to reach you? What if it was an important call? Home is pretty much the one place where you could have your cellphone on without disrupting anyone. School, work, movie theaters, etc. do not allow you to have your cellphone on. Some people put their phones on vibrate at such places. That’s understandable, but why do so at home? My brother used to do that. Actually, I think he still does. I’d be out of the house and I’d call him if I needed to ask him something or if I needed him to help me bring groceries in the house. He wouldn’t pick up because he “didn’t hear” the phone. Of course he wouldn’t hear it if it’s on vibrate, especially when he has music blasting. I don’t know why he puts it on vibrate. When he was still in high school, he’d forget to take it off vibrate when he got home. However, that habit stuck with him even when he was out of school.
Perhaps people don’t like their ringtones or someone else doesn’t like it. Maybe they forgot to turn it off vibrate. If they use their phones all the time, surely they notice it, right? People are on their cellphones all the time nowadays. It’s just irritating to try and reach someone whose only telecommunication device is a cellphone when they have it on vibrate. It could be a life or death call.
